Macon County Memorial Park was founded in 1936 by Dr. Hugo Felix. He built the tower to amplify an organ and a set of chimes. In 1951 a statue of Martin Luther, the work of Fred Torrey, was unveiled in the Lutheran Section of the cemetery. Dr. Felix passed away in 1951 and his wife managed the cemetery until the early 80's when Dan Brintlinger, of Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, assumed management. David Montgomery took over management of the cemetery in 1994. Today, his son Christopher Montgomery manages Macon County Memorial Park.
